York Civil is pleased to announce it has opened up its fourth national office, located in North Ryde, Sydney.
Having expanded to Queensland in 2008 and Western Australia in 2012, the New South Wales Office will seek to establish the York Civil brand across its four key market sectors; Transport, Resources, Power and Water.
York Civil’s New South Wales State Manager, Andrew Rowlands, is excited by the challenge:
“The Sydney market is an excellent fit for York Civil a happening space right now with exceptional infrastructure projects scheduled to take place. We’re looking forward to growing the York Civil brand and getting involved in some of the complicated multi-disciplinary projects.”
York Civil’s track record of entering new markets is strong. Despite opening the Queensland office in the middle of the global financial crisis, York Civil quickly established itself as a competitive contractor delivering key projects such as the Yaamba Road Pedestrian Overpass for the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the Innisfail Sewage Treatment Plant for Cassowary Coast Regional Council and four consecutive coal mine infrastructure contracts in the Bowen Basin. The Queensland office now represents almost half of the organisation’s annual revenue.
Similarly, our entry into Western Australia has been successful despite arriving as the resources boom began to decline. In less than two years York Civil has secured two major projects in the region through North Quay Rail Terminal Stage 2 for Fremantle Ports and the East Rockingham Wastewater Treatment Plant Civil and Concrete Works for the Water Corporation.
