York Civil has had a busy start to the New Year, with two contracts being awarded since the beginning of December.

Consolidating our foothold in New South Wales, we have been awarded Stage 1 of the Pacific Highway Upgrade project in a joint venture with OHL. The Pacific Highway Upgrade project is being undertaken by Roads and Maritime Services and funded by the Australian and NSW governments, and will upgrade the highway to deliver a four lane divided road, spanning Hexham to Queensland. We have been contracted to complete Section 1, which begins in Woolgoolga and terminates at Halfway Creek. Click here for more information on the project.

York Civil has also been awarded a contract for the Pemberton Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade in Western Australia.

Having previously worked on Water Corporation Ltd’s East Rockingham Waste Water Treatment Plant projects, the Pemberton Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrade will be our first project for the company as the principal contractor. The project includes decommissioning of the old plant, once the new one is operational, and by project completion the Pemberton plant will be equipped to treat 200kL of wastewater per day.

With a number of post-tender discussions underway around the country, 2015 is gearing up to be a busy year at York Civil.
