Our management structure enables senior management input throughout the life of a project and promotes accessibility to clients. Owners, Ian Tarbotton and Dominic Vieceli, lead the organisation as Managing Directors and Board Members and ensure hands-on involvement at every level of a project.

Ian TarbottonIan Tarbotton, Group Managing Director

Ian founded York Civil in 1990 and is now the Group’s Managing Director (including associated companies). He has taken the business from a small operation with a handful of employees to a national company with key operating hubs in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.

Dominic Vieceli, Managing Director

Dominic joined York Civil shortly after its inception and has been a hands-on Managing Director for the last 16 years. He has proven his leadership skills by taking the company from humble beginnings to a national business, promoting strong growth through a staff of more than 400 and a significant fleet of plant and equipment.

Steve KochergenSteve Kochergen, National Business Development Manager

As National Business Development Manager for York Civil, Steve has played an instrumental role in growing York Civil from a local South Australian civil contractor to a national company with the capability and experience to deliver complex infrastructure solutions across numerous industries and disciplines. He was instrumental in leading bid strategies and delivery innovations for most of York Civil’s major projects.

Simon Green, Operations ManagerSimon Green

Simon is an award winning, highly accomplished professional engineering and construction manager. Since establishing our operations in Queensland in 2008, Simon has successfully developed and grown the business, demonstrated through the delivery of key transport, ports, mining, and oil and gas infrastructure projects throughout the state. A key achievement is the delivery of six projects in the Bowen Basin over 18 months with zero lost time injuries.

Michael HydeMichael Hyde, General Manager / State Manager – South Australia

Michael manages York Civil’s central region based in the Head Office in Adelaide. Arguably the most diverse operating division, Michael has managed projects across all market sectors including transport, water, power, resources and defence. He has more than 19 years’ experience in construction and civil engineering projects, and is a specialist in project managing and estimating Design and Construct projects.

Dallas Keane, State Manager – Western AustraliaDallasKeane

With over 16 years’ construction and civil engineering experience delivering projects up to $500 million, Dallas undertook the role of Construction Manager from 2010 to 2013. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing all projects delivered across Australia. In 2013 he took on the role of PreContracts Manager, leading York Civil’s national tender response and estimating division, and in 2014 moved to manage and build on our Western Australian operations.

John Vida, State Manager – New South Wales

John has developed considerable specialist experience in earthworks, structures and pavements during 20 years on a series of major projects, including Australia’s largest RCC dam and eight highway/motorway upgrades. He brings a detailed understanding of material properties and testing, together with concrete production and placement. A key senior leadership team member of two successful Alliances, John has proven skills in drawing the best performance from large, multi-disciplinary teams and the delivery of superior outcomes for all participants.

Michael Lazaraki, State Manager – Queensland

Michael is state manager for the York Civil Queensland operations backed by an extensive work history in a variety of civil construction projects. In his career, Michael has specialised in water and urban development projects in both South Australia and the Northern Territory. This water specialisation includes pipelines, pump station, water treatment and remediation works. He has a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, often in constrained urban work environments with sensitive environmental, community and stakeholder requirements. Michael is a former Operations Manager for an asphalt plant in Darwin supplying the State Government and local developers including Department of Defence projects.
