We specialise in engineering, construction and project management for the following sectors;
At York Civil we provide construction services to all aspects of the power industry, from distribution, generation, and renewables through to substations. Our power industry expertise includes coal, wind and gas powered stations, transformer stations, power distribution, control stations and cabling.
We have a track record of safe delivery in operational high-voltage facilities and working with multiple contractors and asset operators in highly congested sites.
York Civil has been delivering mine infrastructure to resource clients throughout Australia since its establishment. We have worked for major Australian and international mining clients such as BHP Billiton, Newcrest Mining, OZ Minerals, and Hillgrove Resources and also leading global engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contractors such as Bechtel and Fluor.
York Civil has completed successful projects in oil and gas, iron ore, coal, gold, uranium, copper and zinc mines. The majority of these are remote sites and have required the mobilisation of plant, people and equipment to deliver tight programs.
Our projects encompass all aspects of construction including mine maintenance, new infrastructure, processing plants, camp and township accommodation, tailings storage and underground works.
York Civil is Achilles Stage 3, after having successfully completed the audit in May 2014. Achilles is a global leader in supplier management and supply chain solutions for the oil and gas industry, working with around 800 of the world’s largest buying organisations. To be an accredited supplier through the Achilles system an organisation must complete a comprehensive questionnaire and then undergo an audit to confirm the responses.
York Civil delivers major transport infrastructure projects including bridges, jetties, roads, rail, ports and airfields. We were the first construction company in South Australia to undertake innovative incrementally launched solutions for bridge and jetty construction projects, and have constructed over 50 bridges nationally.
In the marine and port sector we have constructed both on and over water, requiring detailed crane on barge delivery methodologies, and the use of diving crews for complex underwater construction.
York Civil has delivered a wide spectrum of major water infrastructure assets including pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, dams and weirs, regulators, inlets and outlets, and marine structures.
We have undertaken complex environmental water projects on the Murray River within internationally recognised environmentally sensitive wetlands. We were able to achieve exceptional outcomes while protecting indigenous sites, flora and fauna, and ecological systems.
Other projects have required comprehensive stakeholder and community engagement strategies that have resulted in positive outcomes for affected residents and businesses.
