History
York Civil Pty Ltd was founded in 1990 in South Australia by the Group Managing Director, Ian Tarbotton to fulfil a need for practical construction that approaches unique and complex projects with innovation and imagination.
Initially, York Civil worked closely with BHP Billiton at Whyalla. As York Civil began to grow, the company won projects for the South Australian Government, including York Civil's first major transport project, the construction of the Port Road Bridge over the Railway at Thebarton.
Dominic Vieceli has been with York Civil since its inception and became a Director in 2001, contributing his experience and understanding of ‘smart' construction techniques and innovation.
From a small company of 10 employees, York Civil has grown steadily and today has some 200 employees, with over 20 engineers delivering a diverse range of projects for government and private sector clients.
