Company Structure

York Civil has a flat organisation management structure, which ensures senior management input throughout the life of a project, as well as giving clients easy access to them. Owners, Ian Tarbotton and Dominic Vieceli, head up the organisation as Managing Directors and Board Members, and always ensure hands-on involvement at every level of a project. There are six units making up the company structure that report directly to the Managing Director.

The organisational units perform the following functions:

Queensland Branch

This section operates as a business unit supported by head office. The Queensland branch has a rapidly growing resource base including project managers, engineers, site managers, safety officers, supervisors, plant and equipment.

Olympic Dam Branch

Since 1995 York Civil has maintained a branch office at Olympic Dam with a dedicated resource base of project managers, engineers, site managers, supervisors, plant and equipment. Although based at Olympic Dam, the branch also services the expansive territory of the mid-north and across borders for numerous clients.

Operations Group

This section organises and manages the day-today operation of projects in relation to project management, plant and equipment management, quality assurance management, safety and environmental management. Locating these disciplines into one unit ensures total integration of all project inputs.

Finance and Administration

The central accounting function using the state of the art software provides the robust cost control of all projects from budgeting to integration of accounts.

Business Support

Our Business Support provides focused, strategic advice to the company concerning commercial, employee relations, human resources and information management matters, as well as mentoring support throughout the duration of contracts. The team includes commercial managers, audit and systems managers, information technology managers and human resources.

Pre-Contracts Group

The group is responsible for developing and securing business opportunities for York Civil by developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and suppliers and pursuing opportunities for growth. The team is a strongly integrated one headed up by our Business Development Manager and Tender Manager who together oversee design managers, estimators and a marketing and communications team.
