The official launch and announcement in December 2008 was held at a York Civil project site with the players proudly wearing the new 2009 Magpies playing jumper. The YORK CIVIL logo will be included on the front of the official playing jumper and all official club uniform items for the 2009 season.

Club CEO Matthew Richardson was delighted to make the announcement together with President Robert Cope, League coach Tim Ginever being joined by York Civil Group Managment.
