Andrews Farm Stages 1 and 2 and Munno Para Wetlands

Andrews Farm Wetland Project Stages 1 and 2 and Munno Para Wetland Project were undertaken for the City of Playford as part of a wider strategy to waterproof Northern Adelaide and to use and re-use water resources more sustainably.

York Civil was contracted to construct two wetlands at Andrews Farm and Munno Para.

Features of the projects included installation of a diversion pump station; excavation of a high flow bypass channel; construction of wetlands, pedestrian walkway bridges and walking paths, gabion walls; and relocation of the water quality monitoring station and pump station at Andrews Farm.

The Andrews Farm Wetlands project was a finalist in the 2009 Civil Contractors Federation SA Earth Awards for projects valued between $1m and $5m. Other award winning projects can be viewed here.
