Bolivar Plant WWTP Concrete Remediation and Grit Removal Works

York Civil, through a competitive Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, was awarded the Bolivar Waste Water Treatment Plant Concrete Rehabilitation Works Package.

The Bolivar Plant is currently suffering from the corrosion of concrete to a number of its key process areas, including the primary grit tanks, pre-aeration tanks, primary sedimentation tanks, inlet channel, high salinity area and primary sedimentation scraper system.

The work will involve the construction of two new grit vortex chambers and associated works to divert screened sewage through the new grit removal system and into existing sedimentation tanks.
