Brisbane Terminal Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the existing DP World Terminals 4 to 7 at Fisherman lslands has enabled the mode of terminal operations to change from forklifts to automated stacking cranes, and redeveloped a container yard and associated facilities and services.

Specific works involved the construction of infrastructure to accommodate eight automatic stacking cranes, 145,000m2 of heavy duty pavements, installation of underground services including stormwater, water, sewerage, electrical and communications conduits and pits, design and construction of a rail and track system for the automatic stacking cranes, and pilings.

Building and support infrastructure works included two high voltage and two low voltage substation complexes, terminal buildings, site access and egress, road works, car parks, storage areas, vehicle wash facilities, and lighting towers.
