Bruce Highway Bowen to Ingham Road Restoration
York Civil was engaged to undertake the repair and rehabilitation of the Bruce Highway Bowen to Ingham Road network after the tropical cyclone and flood damage in 2010.
The reconstruction works involved profiling existing seal and pavement, cement stabilisation, resealing, pavements, road markings, drainage structures including concrete pipe culverts and signage.
Works were undertaken at four locations totalling 4.4km of road geographically dispersed over 160km of road networks.
The program of works was delivered under the National Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), a joint Federal and State Government initiative.
Traffic management plans were developed and implemented for highway conditions where normal speed limits are 100km/h.
