Cathedral Rocks Wind Farm

The Cathedral Rocks Wind Farm, located on the remote limestone cliffs south of Port Lincoln, has a generating capacity of 66MW.

The wind farm consists of 33 wind turbines of 2MW each. Each turbine blade has a diameter of 60m erected on top of 40m towers.

York Civil undertook all civil works and electrical installations, the construction of 30km of roads, wind turbine generator footings, associated hardstand areas and control buildings.

The electrical component included the main substation, power collection substations, installation of cables and equipment, and the facility’s mechanical, electrical and fire systems.
