Caval Ridge Buffel Park Intersection

York Civil undertook construction of an intersection on the Peak Downs Highway in Central Queensland for the turn off to Caval Ridge Coal Mine’s Buffel Village construction camp. Works included turn-in and exiting acceleration lanes plus an overtaking lane on the existing highway.

The scope of works involved clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation, bulk and detailed earthworks, traffic control, stormwater culvert construction, pavement construction, spray sealing and asphalt, signage, line marking, street lighting and landscaping. The road length constructed equated to 450m.
