Glengowrie Tram Depot Upgrade

The Glengowrie Tram Depot Upgrade project was initiated to improve the tram depot’s existing infrastructure.

The upgrade was necessary in order to accommodate an increase in the existing fleet of six Citadis trams, which required increased stabling capacity, maintenance capability, and operational and staff facilities.

The project undertaken by York Civil addressed these requirements in a staged manner to allow the depot to continue operating during the construction works. Works undertaken included rail, concrete, pipes, buildings, pavements, mechanical and electrical, and car parks.
