Olympic Dam Civil Works and Mine Maintenance

Olympic Dam, located in remote outback South Australia, is a multi-mineral ore body containing uranium oxide, copper, gold and silver and is Australia’s largest underground mine.

From 1995-2012 York Civil performed civil works and maintenance for the Olympic Dam mine site. During the seventeen year tenure, York Civil was involved in most aspects of the site.

Projects were varied, including miscellaneous civil works, maintenance and civil construction at the mine site, Roxby Downs Township and underground works.

Works consisted of full turn-key project management, civil, commercial and industrial construction, major earthworks, concreting, steel fixing and formwork, poly welding, pipe laying, road construction and maintenance.
