Olympic Dam Extraction Plant Enhancement and Concrete Main Tank

York Civil undertook works to rebuild the copper and uranium extraction plants at Olympic Dam on the process drain tank, solvent tank, raffinate tank, treatment area and pipe rack footings for the uranium copper solvent extraction concentrate main tank project.

York Civil self-performed bulk and detailed earthworks, major concrete works including tank construction, fibreglass lining of concrete tanks, foundation works, pipe rack footings and building works.

Protective fibreglass lining was required on all tanks and buntings as the solvent extraction process was corrosive to concrete.
