Rail Revitalisation Project Stages 2, 2A, 4 and 5

The Rail Revitalisation project comprised upgrade works to the Oaklands to Noarlunga Line, the Mawson Lakes to Gawler Line, the Adelaide to Oaklands Line and the Adelaide Yard.

York Civil worked with the Department for Planning, Transport and Infrastructure to develop designs, costings and approvals in an Early Contractor Involvement phase which transitioned to delivery of the works on the ground.

York Civil was responsible for the protection of environmentally sensitive sites and water courses, signalling, track works, drainage, formations, batter stabilisation, turnouts, level crossings and civil works.

The project adhered to a strict regime of key performance indicators including financial, program, safety, quality, environmental, training, innovation, community and client relationship.

The project was the Winner of the Civil Contractors Federation Earth Awards – Category 4, Project Value between $20 and $75 million (South Australian Winner, 2012). More award winning projects are listed here.
