Ridge Park Storm Water Detention Dam

The Ridge Park Storm Water Detention Dam forms part of the larger Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Management Project.

The aim of the project is to slow peak stormwater flows and allow greater control of water volumes flowing down the contributing Glen Osmond Creek. The dam is also designed to serve as a collection dam for the adjoining MAR scheme, developed by the City of Unley.

The dam comprises a concrete core wall supported by rock-filled gabion baskets. Some of the gabion baskets allow for plantings to enhance the environment and the general aesthetics of the structure.
