Waterproofing Northern Adelaide is part of a greater regional strategy to use and reuse water resources more sustainably. The City of Playford, along with Salisbury and Tea Tree Gully Councils have secured State and Federal funding for the $104 Million project that will convert previously disposed stormwater  runoff into a useable resource.

York Civil were contracted to construct the wetlands resulting in the transformation of an area around six times greater than a football stadium.
