Northern Expressway
The Northern Expressway is a new 23 km motorway linking the Gawler Bypass with Port Wakefield Road. This project includes a four lane expressway, five grade-separated interchanges, a bridge over rail lines, bridges over Gawler River and Gawler diversion channel and a high-speed fly over interchange at Port Wakefield Road. The $564 million expressway is the largest road construction project in Adelaide since the 1960s and is a joint initiative of the South Australian and Australian governments under the AusLink program.
As part of the selection process York Civil participated in various workshops with DTEI. The objective of the workshops was to determine the “best” design and price to deliver the Northern Expressway Project. DTEI assessed the tenders based on price and non price attributes including team, project outcomes, project delivery and project risks.
